Getting ClerkMinutes approved by your board or manager

Everything you need to make the case: a ready-to-use memo, answers to common questions, and how to request a quote.

Many clerks need sign-off from a board, manager, or finance director before they can subscribe. The good news is you don't have to make the case on promises. You can show real results from your own meetings.

Start with your free trial

Your 14-day free trial needs no credit card, and you won't be charged when it ends. Use it to run one of your real meetings from start to finish, then bring the results to your decision-makers:

  • The draft minutes ClerkMinutes created for that meeting.

  • How long it took you, compared to how long minutes usually take.

Everything you create during the trial stays in your account while you wait for approval.

Questions your board may ask

Question

Short answer

Does this replace the clerk?

No. ClerkMinutes writes the first draft. The clerk still reviews, edits, and approves every set of minutes before it's published.

How much time will it save?

Share your own numbers from the trial. Many clerks go from most of a day per meeting to an hour or two.

Is it accurate?

Every transcript and set of minutes is fully editable, and minutes can be re-generated as many times as needed. Nothing is final until the clerk approves it.

What does it cost?

See clerkminutes.com/pricing. You can also download a PDF of plan pricing there for your board. For a Custom plan, request a quote (below).

Is there a long-term contract?

No multi-year contract is required.

What happens to our data?

Your meetings, recordings, transcripts, and minutes stay in your account, even if you cancel.

How can we pay?

Card, ACH bank transfer, or purchase order. See "Payment and purchasing options".

Subject: Request to subscribe to ClerkMinutes

I'm requesting approval to subscribe to ClerkMinutes, a tool that helps prepare our meeting minutes, on the [Starter or Growth] plan for [amount] per [month or year].

Today, preparing minutes for each meeting takes about [X hours]. During our free trial, I prepared minutes for our [meeting name] meeting in [Y hours]. A copy of those minutes is attached.

I will still review, edit, and approve every set of minutes before it's published. ClerkMinutes prepares the transcript and first draft, so I can spend less time typing and more time on [other priorities].

Residents also get a public meeting page with the recording, agenda, and minutes in one place.

There is no long-term contract, and we can pay by card, ACH, or purchase order. Cancel anytime.
