My minutes are missing details or don't look right

What to check when your draft minutes leave something out or aren't in your usual format.

Your draft minutes are a starting point, and there are several quick ways to get them closer to what you need.

If important details are missing

  1. Check the transcript. If something wasn't captured clearly in the recording, it won't be in the minutes. You can add it to the transcript by hand.

  2. Check your speakers. Make sure everyone is assigned a name in the Transcript & Speakers tab.

  3. Add a detail to one section. Select the paragraph, click AI Actions, choose Describe Your Change, and tell ClerkMinutes what to add.

  4. Re-generate with instructions. Try a custom instruction like "Include detailed discussion points for each agenda item."

If the format or style isn't right

  1. Add custom instructions that describe your format (see "How to use custom instructions").

  2. Try a different length or tone, then generate again. You can re-generate as many times as you need.

  3. Adjust your header, logo, and fonts in Template Settings, available on the Growth plan and above (see "How to customize your minutes template").

If your minutes show "Speaker 1" instead of names

That speaker hasn't been assigned yet. Assign them in the Transcript & Speakers tab, then re-generate your minutes.

Still not right?

Email [email protected] with the meeting name and a short note about what you're seeing. We'll help you get your minutes where they need to be.
